Our All-Day Primary Program is designed for families seeking a comprehensive, full-day educational experience for their children ages 3-6 years. This program provides an immersive learning environment with a focus on both academic growth and the development of social and emotional skills.
In our Primary Program, the environment is carefully prepared to allow the children to choose activities that interest them and work independently. This approach promotes their holistic development, independence, self-discipline, and the ability to collaborate with others on projects, setting a strong foundation for future academic and personal success. Our Primary program offers an immersive three-year curriculum, which includes Kindergarten.
These activities help the children develop everyday life skills, such as pouring, spooning, buttoning, and tying shoelaces. Practical life activities promote their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, independence, and a sense of order. For example, they set the table for snack time, care for plants, and help with cleaning duties.
Our children work with a variety of sensorial materials that help refine their senses and build a foundation for understanding concepts like size, shape, color, texture, taste, and sound.
Language-rich environments are crucial. Our children are introduced to our Phonics curriculum through sandpaper letters, a moveable alphabet, and nomenclature cards. They also practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills using Montessori language materials.
Our Montessori math materials introduce abstract mathematical concepts through concrete, hands-on experiences. The children work with materials like number rods, golden beads, and spindle boxes to learn concepts such as counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
.Cultural studies encompass subjects like geography, history, and cultural diversity. Parents from diverse backgrounds contribute to our program by sharing their cultural heritage through traditional food, clothing, and customs with the children.
The children study the classification of animals, observe the life cycles of plants and animals, study the Earth and what it's made of, explore the solar system, and learn about the properties of matter. They engage in activities and projects that foster an appreciation for the natural world.
The children are provided with various avenues for expression, engaging in art activities like drawing and painting using a variety of mediums. They learn the skills of cutting, gluing, tracing and hole-punching.
Music and movement are integrated into our curriculum to develop rhythm, coordination, and self-expression. The children enjoy our enriching music program, where they are introduced to a plethora of instruments, music, and song, exposing them to many musical genres.
Outdoor play and exploration are encouraged to connect the children with the natural world. This includes gardening, nature walks, and collecting leaves or plants for our nature tables! The children have playground time each day in our many, beautiful outdoor spaces.
Creative World's programs incorporate lessons on peace, conflict resolution, and emotional development to create harmonious and respectful classroom environments. These "soft skills" are an integral part of functioning in the social and business world.
Our classrooms have mixed-age groups, allowing younger children to learn from their older peers and older children become the leaders and role models in the classroom. This fosters leadership, mentorship, and a sense of community.
